Nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award! :)

Another award…:) This time I have been nominated for the One Lovely Blog award by Christina. Thank you so much! I really enjoy blogging so it’s nice that other people enjoy seeing my posts. I know that the rules of accepting this award are that I have to share 7 things about myself and then nominate other people BUT as I have shared things about myself for my previous awards I really don’t have much more to share. Also, the people that I nominated for previous awards would be the same people I’d choose for this one. 🙂

Nominated for ‘The Versatile Blogger Award’! :)

The lovely Nataly over at kittencrafts has nominated me for The Versatile Blogger award. Thank you so much! 🙂 I know there are people out there who think that these ‘awards’ are stupid BUT they are fun and it’s great to be thought of; to know that someone likes your blog and to have your blog recognised by others. Blogging is something I love doing and it’s great to share my snail-mailing/post-crossing adventures with others.

Is my blog versatile? Hmmm I don’t know! I post a LOT about snail-mail, post-crossing and mail art. I’ve actually thought about ‘branching out’ and posting about other things that I love. Maybe I will one day!

The rules of accepting this nomination…

1) Thank the person who nominated you and create a link back to their blog.

2) Share 7 things about yourself.

3) Nominate 15 other versatile bloggers.

4) Tell the bloggers that you nominated them.

7 things about myself…

I wrote 11 things about myself for my Liebster Award nomination so I suppose I should try and think of 7 different things. Hmmm…

1) I LOVE Christmas and collect decorations for my tree (glass, wood, fabric, metal). I’d love to collect decorations from different countries.

2) I am sad enough to watch The Eurovision Song Contest every year.

3) At university my nickname was Hobbit (because I’m only 5ft AND because I once held a pint glass with 2 hands)!

4) I think that my parents are absolute legends. My mom has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and my dad cares for her. They’ve been together since they were 14 and have had 5 children. (Myself being the eldest and most awesome of course)

5) I have kissed one celebrity (on the cheek) . It was Joey Jordison (drummer from Slipknot).

6) I still have a stash of old letters from friends, old boyfriends, old pen friends and family that I keep in the loft.

7) I think Amelie is the sweetest film ever made.

My 15 nominees…

It’ll be difficult to try and nominate different bloggers from the ones that I chose for a Liebster Award! I will try but it’ll be a work in progress I think.

1) Stephanie at Living Free

2) Sofie at Hallvi’s Nest

3) Kara at postalpaperphile

4) Kimberly at Kimberly Ah

Nominated for a Liebster Award! :)

  3. I think Xavier Samuel and Johnny Depp are the most gorgeous men on Earth.
  4. I’m afraid of moths and anything else that flutters!

  10. I am only 5ft tall.
  11. I LOVE horror films and have seen hundreds.

Answers to Stephanie’s questions…

1) What do you expect your life to look like in 2029?

I’ll be 44 in 2029 so I expect to be happily married to my now fiance and living in our dream house with a few more children.

2) If you could have dinner with a historical figure who would it be and why?

I would have dinner with Henry VIII and I’d quiz him all about Tudor history (my favourite period).

3) What is the most interesting/strangest food you’ve ever eaten?

I’m a very fussy eater so I’m afraid I’ve never been brave enough to try strange foods.

4) Tell about a nice thing that you’ve done for someone recently.

My nan, who is 70, has always wanted to learn more about the world but can’t travel to far away places. So I created an account for her on Interpals and now she has pen-pals from all over the world. She said it has given her a new lease of life and she feels more fulfilled. 🙂

5) If you could go back to a moment in your past when would it be?

There are many moments that I’d go back to – dates I’d never go on, relatives I’d spend one more day with etc. But if I had to choose just one, I would be a child again in the Summer holidays, playing with friends that I now no longer see. Those days were so much fun!

6) What items are in your bag, purse, backpack or briefcase?

My handbag currently contains – a purse, a pen, my house keys, my lip balm, a receipt from my last food shop and a Cadbury’s Twirl wrapper.

7) What cosmetic, fashion accessory or item makes you feel like a million bucks?

I rarely wear make-up and I’m not into fashion. I suppose I’d say eye-liner because it’s the only make-up that I wear.

8) What happened on your worst date?

I’ve had a few bad dates but the WORST one was when I was taken to an airport to watch aeroplanes!!

9) Who is your favourite artist (singer, author etc.)?

I don’t have a favourite singer or a favourite author but I do have favourite actors – Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio.

10) Ice cream in a cone or a cup?

I’m not a huge ice-cream fan but I’d rather have it in a cup.

11) If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be?
